Cores Overview

Overview

This PPG is supported by an Administrative and two Scientific Cores.


Core A: Administrative Core
Leader: Dr. Jorge Di Paola

Aim of Core A: Led by Dr. Jorge Di Paola, The Administrative Core will lead the coordination of this PPG and execute the Program’s objectives, ensuring that all research and programmatic goals are met. It will provide executive oversight, administrative support, and coordination for all Cores and Projects.

Core B: Bioinformatics Core
Leader: PhD. Nathan O. Stitziel

Aim of Core B: Led by PhD. Nathan O. Stitziel, The Scientific Core B is a Bioinformatics Core that will serve the genomic sequencing, proteomics, lipidomics and metabolomics needs of the different Projects, centralize the bioinformatics data analyses and facilitate the flow of data with a secure interface.

Core C: Biorepository and Central Laboratory Core
Leader: MD. Veronica Flood

Aim of Core C: Led by MD. Veronica Flood, The Scientific Core C is a Biorepository and Central Laboratory Core that will oversee and manage over 90,000 available samples from >7,000 recruited individuals, many of them being used by the Projects. Core C contains the central specimen management site and accompanying database, the central laboratory for sample testing, and serves as the coordinating IRB.
